News Release: Angerer Earns Law Enforcement Endorsements

29 July 2004, Bedford -- The Police Officers Association of Michigan (POAM) and The Monroe County Deputy Sheriff’s Association announced their endorsement of Kathy Angerer, Democratic candidate for the 55th District seat in the Michigan House of Representatives.

“I am proud to have the support of the law enforcement community,” said Angerer. “I will be responsive to the concerns of the hard working men and women of law enforcement who are entrusted to protect the security of the residents of the 55th State House District and throughout Michigan.”

POAM represents over 10,000 law enforcement professionals throughout Michigan and is the largest such organization in the state. The Monroe Deputy Sheriff’s Association represents 500 jail sergeants, corporals, and deputies.

Angerer, the Director of Communications for Dundee Community Schools, and her husband Russ, a decorated Vietnam War veteran, are lifelong Monroe County residents and are raising their five children in Dundee.
