News Release: Angerer Earns Key Education Endorsements

14 July 2004, Bedford -- The Michigan Education Association (MEA) and The Michigan Federation of Teachers and School Related Personnel (MFT&SRP) announced their endorsement of Kathy Angerer, Democratic candidate for the 55th District seat in the Michigan House of Representatives.

“I am proud to have the support of these two respected education organizations,” said Angerer, the Director of Communications for Dundee Community Schools. “Together we will work to strengthen schools by giving educators the vital tools they need to provide our children with a quality education.”

The MEA represents more than 157,000 teachers, faculty, and education support staff. The MFT&SRP serves over 11,000 K-12 teachers and support personnel, university professors and graduate employees, community college instructors and administrative employees, as well as state and city employees.

Angerer has worked for the Dundee Community Schools for over 12 years. In addition to her position as the Director of Communications, Angerer served first as the Chairwoman of the District’s bond committee and then as the Construction Supervisor of the recently completed Dundee High School and the associated work authorized by the $30 million bond proposal.
